At 1:13 a.m., Marina and her best female friend attempt a late-night ritual, hoping an Ouija board can answer what ordinary life no longer does. Candles, whispered instructions, and exhausted belief slowly give way to movement on the board and then to a message that feels disturbingly specific. Fear drives one woman away, leaving the other alone with what she believes is a summoned presence. In the flickering light, faith, desire, and submission blur, and by the time the planchette reaches Goodbye, Marina is certain the ritual has worked whatever the cost.
